You are so right. Wikis are great sometimes, but often they can be too unstructured and users who are not used to wikis get confused how to post a document (often requires creating a page and attaching a file to it in wiki tools). This will probably change over time, but for now, many groups just need really easy-to-use team collaboration tools like projectspaces (www.projectspaces.com). I'm biased, but it makes file sharing, project blogs, task management etc really simple and intuitive.
