Gadgets & Tech – In this paper we survey the current literature on code obfuscation and review current practices as well as applications. We analyze the different obfuscation techniques in relation to protection of intellectual property and the hiding of malicious code.

It has occurred to me before that given the current distributed software ecology we have, an application ( benign or malign ) could be almost entirely intangible; never existing in one place or in one final sheet of code.
