MySpace Dominates Other Social Networking Sites: Hitwise

Gadgets & Tech – According to a report issued by web metrics firm Hitwise, MySpace dominated among social networking sites in 2007. MySpace averaged 76.35% of all U.S. visits in 2007. Facebook was #2, with a mere 12.57%. Market share dropped drastically after that to Bebo's 1.24%.

I was under the impression that Facebook had a bigger share than that.

i find that Face Book doesnt give you the amt. of tools you need to tweak and content your pages like MySpace does I use it for marketing in the Diet Field and natural supplements health subject matter. My Space has a 64% traffic ratio versus Face Book which has a 29% traffic volume.

All the Facebook add-ons make Facebook interactive - playing Scrabble there is a lot of fun, btw - but at a huge price.

I'm gonna use this comment space to say that Facebook is far more juvenile than Myspace is currently, and can't be taken seriously for business networking or branding.

I think MySpace will be in a lead not all the time. Maybe in 2009 FaceBook will have more traffic
