Here Comes Windows SP3 RC1 to the Public --- Again »
Posted by: TechnologyExpert 8 months, 1 week agoLast week Microsoft posted Windows XP SP3 RC1 ... and then pulled it back. It was still available on some download sites, but not on Microsoft's site. Tuesday Microsoft indicated that it would be posting SP3 RC1 to its Download Center later that day, and hopefully this is the real thing.

I managed to get my hands on it last week. Unfortunately, it has no visible updates (i.e., no changes in the appearance of the OS) or, to the best of my ability to determine, no change in function either. So, don't rush to install it.
