I call BS on this article calling us a "bunch of wimps".
The fact of the matter is after marathon downsizing to increase the bottom line corporations expect each individual employee to do the work of 5 in the past. Granted technology helps one become more productive, but one also has to work harder than before. Damaging joints and ligaments in the hand is not any more funny than a soccer player blowing out a knee.

Learn to type correctly people! It should be a requirement for anyone whose job requires using a computer. It's like being a carpenter and not knowing how to hold a hammer!
If you type correctly, the ergonomic keyboards are great! I've been using one almost for as long as they've been around.

I work in a company that specializes in ergonomics, and I would like to say that it does not make you "wimpy" to use such products. Originally workspaces were all designed as a one size fits all, and that is absolutely not that case. Now its about forming the workspace to the individual. Be it an ergonomically correct keyboard, chair, or foot rest - it's all very important. And not each product is going to fit that individual's needs. We provide a process called the Evaluation where we allow the customer to try out the products to make sure they fit properly before the decision to purchase is made. So please don't be quick to judge ergonomics based off of one product. There are a lot of things out there on the market claiming to be "ergonomic" so buyer beware. My Boss's favorite product he's seen so far was and "ergonomically correct chip" (as in potatoe) - supposed to make your grip and dip that more comfortable .... oh the things they sell
