I'll be waiting for the 2nd gen to let Jobs et al make sure the hardware kinks are worked out, and perhaps more importantly, allow AT&T nee Cingular time to make sure the service is reliable.
Plus, my Blackberry 8800 is still shiny and new... ;)

Good point. I think I'll get one at launch, then get a new imporoved one after a while, then give the old one to a friend/relative.
