There's a rumor going around, and Flickr's the protagonist. The gist of it is that the service and its owner (Yahoo), want to give iStockPhoto a run for their money.

I think that selling images is the perfect business for Flickr to get into.
It should replace the subscription model with a revenue sharing model - the more images you are allowed to store the more possibility there is for you and them to profit.

I use iStockPhoto often for Web design projects. I'd want to see a much more user friendly interface on Flicr before it would become a primary destination for stock photos for me.
