The New Netscape with Jason Calacanis, CK 'Jason Jr.' and the so-called anchors fell far short of expectations on the previous releases..

Because of the numerous Negative comments by Netscape User's

when the previous Product was released, it was questionable if there was adequate Quality Control and On-Site Bata Testing????

This is Essential before any Major Product is Released...

    To the New Netscape Management:

Was any documentation published for Netscape User's explaining and providing assurance that the new Release was Properly QA and Bata TESTED to Avoid User problems???

The New Feature is a good one, providing It Works...

    Respectively,

I can assure you that Netscape always employs the strictest of Bata testing, Hobe.

Great feature! I've been using a plugin that does the same thing for a while now, but I guess I won't need that anymore =)

        I'm still using 7.2 :(

I have 8 but it doesn't work with dial up, so I'm wondering how does 9 work with dial up???

Some day God willing I will have DSL!!

Eagle- glad you are back- I love your opinions!

I like 7.2 because I can import my email from my ISP to it.. Not sure if I can do that with the newer versions... I usually use firefox as my browser and 7.2 to check my mail. 7.2 tends to shut down a lot lately, and I am sure that it is due to the new technology that it is incapable of supporting. I am sure the day will come when I will have to figure out another way though. :(

I also use 7.2 to get my e-mail. It would be nice if Netscape could incorporate mail into their new browsers. That was the the reason I used Netscape, it was easier to read your mail than using Outlook to read it.

I agree with that too. Although, I've never used Outlook because of all the viruses I've heard of people getting through that program over the years. Anyway, the idea of the internet suite with the built-in e-mail software was great, and Netscape definitely needs to go back to that.

All I can say is thank you Netscape. I don't know how many times I've ended up at blank pages because I typed things like ww, instead of www, etc. This is a great feature. Some people mentioned that there's a Firefox extension that does this, but I've never downloaded that one. Anyway, it will be nice to have it as one of the built in browser features.

Anyone cares to outline the main differences/improvements between FireFox and the Netscape 9 browser?

What if the misspelled URL is real?

                i.e. google.com and gooogle.com?

It doesn't correct the actual domain name, only the TLD, protocol, and punctuation.

You guys using Netscape 7.2 for the mail should check out Thunderbird. It's what your Netscape mail client was based on and has been updated a lot since then.
